Pastor Volodymyr Vuzii is the Senior Pastor of the Vinnytsia Baptist Union and oversees many churches in the Vinnytsia region. There is a map of the Vinnytsia Oblast behind him.

Pastor Vuzii sent us a letter of thanks given the holidays and our continued support of his ministries. It is shared below in an unedited format.

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Catalyst for Kids ministry,

Warm Christmas greetings to you and your families! As we reflect on this season of joy and hope, we are reminded of the profound love of God, who sent His Son into the world to bring salvation and peace to all humanity. We are reminded of the words of the angels: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men” (Luke 2:14). What a privilege it is to celebrate this divine gift!

We are incredibly grateful for your unwavering partnership and support, especially during this challenging time for Ukraine. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity have been a light to us, bringing hope and practical help to those in need. This Christmas, we rejoice in how God has used your faithfulness to sustain and bless many people in Vinnytsia oblast. You are truly a reflection of Christ’s love to us and to those we serve.

As we enter the new year, we look forward with hope and faith, knowing that Emmanuel—God with us—is guiding and sustaining us. We pray that the Prince of Peace fills your hearts with peace and your homes with joy, and that in the new year He brings renewed strength and blessings for your ministry and families.

Thank you for standing with us in the work of the Gospel and for heling us to be the hands and feet of Christ in this broken world. May His light continue to shine through you and us.

Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

With heartfelt gratitude and love,

Volodymyr Vuzii,

Senior Pastor of Vinnytsia Baptist Union

We thank Pastor Vuzii for his kind words and hope they are as enheartening to you as they were to us. Our next message is a series of stories from one of our team’s visits to the village of Osnova.

Our partners in the Sumy oblast distributed food packages in the village of Osnova close to Christmas, so our food packages were supplemented with many holiday gifts. The packages were distributed individually to those who are in dire need of assistance. Our partners regularly update us after their undertakings and some of the recipients’ stories were sent to us to be shared with all of you.

We visited this woman with her youngest daughter. They are a large family and were very happy with such a gift. We told them about Christ and His birth and prayed with them.

We often help this woman who lives alone in the village since the passing of her husband. She chops firewood herself and runs the household. We helped her with a grocery package, prayed, and wished her a Merry Christmas. It is a great joy for her that we care and we thank God that we can help this woman.

This man cares for an old grandmother who walks around the house on two sticks. He is her only caregiver, but this is a significant struggle. He needs to know Christ and we had the opportunity to share Christ with him, congratulated him on Christmas, and prayed with him. He was very happy to hear our good news.

We visited a woman who lives alone and is a bilateral leg amputee. She was very happy that we came to congratulate her on Christmas.

This Grandfather suffered a stroke. Shortly after this traumatic event, his wife died, leaving him without a caretaker. He now lives with a son who sadly has a drinking problem. He was so happy for our visit, he did not know how to thank us. There were tears in his eyes due to the fact that God cares for him through us and that he was not forgotten during the Christmas season.

Vadim is a very poor man who lives in a severely damaged house. He lives alone and has no relatives or friends. We regularly visit him and provide him with clothes and other gifts. He was thankful for our visit and the food package we shared with him. He asked us to say thank you for the gift and gave praise to God for such care.

This father also received a food package. He has four children who he had to send to boarding school. He has no wife and the children do not have a mother to take care of them. We are always trying to help him and he is very grateful. He was only able to take his children home and see them for the holidays yesterday.

On December 19, 2024, our team went to a local boarding school to visit the children. We held a festive event with them. We prepared and presented an entertainment program for them. The Children shared many poems with us. Pastor Serhiy shared the Word of God for Christmas, and the children were excited to learn about the true meaning of this holiday. We prayed for the children, their families, and teachers. They all thanked us for the gifts donated by C4K.

We thank you for allowing us to share God’s love through the food parcels and special gifts for these children and needy folks! Though many of these stories are sad, Catalyst for Kids is always excited to serve and bring happiness to these sad situations during the holiday season.
